WHEREAS , the City Cou il under Council File No. 87-737
approved May 21 , 1987 , estab ished a process whereby the priori-
tizing and accounting for c ntracts for city services obtained
through contracts with nonpr fit organizations were to be estab-
lished by use of the "civic organization partnership program" ;
and
4VHEREAS , this process as implemented and used in estab-
lishing the budget for the bu get year of 1988 ; and
WHEREAS , the Council as reviewed this process and has
determined that it would be in the best interest of the City
to discontinue the use of he "civic organization partnership
program" as a manner of p ioritizing and accounting for such
contracts ; and
WHEREAS , it is the opi ion of the Council that it would
be a more efficient syste for various city departments to
determine which organizatio is better fitted to the needs
and missions of the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the sy tem and procedure established by
Council Resolution 87-737 is disbanded and that such resolution
is voided in its entirety; an , be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that prioritization and accounting for
contracts for outside service provided by nonprofit organizations
shall be processed through t e normal budget process and funding
for such outside organization will be recommended by the various
applicable city departments within their lat�idqets .
