10. Every applicant for a temporary On S le Liquor License shall file with his appli—
cation therefore, a bond with a vali Power of Attorney attached, in the sum of
Three Thousand Dollars (�3,000.00) . The sureCy on such bond shall be a surety
company licensed to do business in t e State of Minnesota, and the bond shall be
approved as to fortrt and execution by the CorporaCion Counsel. Sa�d bond shall be
conditioned as follows:
a) That the licensee will pay to th municipality, when due, all taxes, license
� fees, penalties and other charge as provided by law.
b) That the licensee will obey the aw rel.aCing to such licensed business� and
that in the event of any violati n of the provisions of such law, the licensee
will pay all fines, penalties an other charges as provided by law.
c) That the licensee will pay, to t e extent of the principal amount of such bond,
any damages for death or injury aused by or, resulting from the violation of
any provisions of law relating t the business for which such licensee has been
granted a Iicense, and condition d that such recovery may be had from the surety
on the bond. The amount recover ble shall be measured by the actual damages,
provided, however, that in no ca e shall such surety be liable for any amount
in excess of the amount of the b nd.

Dear Council President Scheibel �d Council members:
Mears Park Holding Corp. (M .HC) and Lowertown Redevelopment
Corporation (LRC) are co-spons ring the 1988 return of the
Lowertown Arts and Music Festival. This event, billed "Galtier
Plaza presents Lowertown Festival '88" , will include many of the
popular attractions found at the "old" Lowertown Arts Festivals
held in 1977 through 1985, inc uding arts and craft displays,
food, beverage, live music and en ertainment in Galtier Plaza and
Mears Park. Lowertown Redevelop ent Corporation has applied to
the city for a temporary on-sale liquor license so beer and wine
coolers may be sold at this three day event.
The event is scheduled for une 10, 11 and 12, 1988. Both
LRC and MPHC hope this art a d music festival will attract
visitors to Lowertown for thre days of fine indoor/outdoor
summer entertainment. We hav obtained the necessary city
permit for special use of Mear Park and applied for a block
party permit for the use of ibley Street and request your
support of our application for a temporary liquor license for
this event.
