in the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation.
RESOLVED, that the rate f pay for the title of Personnel
Technician--Board of Educatio be set at the rate set forth in Grade 32,
Section ID2, of the Technical Standard Ranges in the Salary Plan and Rates
of Compensation; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that t is resolution shall take effect and be in
force on the first pay period after the passage, approval, and publication
of this resolution. �

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
General Statement of Duties: der direction, performs technical,
administrative, and paraprofessional work in connection with implementing School
District personnel procedures; nd performs related duties as required.
Supervision Received: Works u er the general technical and
administrative supervision of Assistant Director of Personnel.
Supervision Exercised: May exe cise close to moderate technical
supervision of clerical staff i volved in the personnel function.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED
The listed examples may not include 11 the duties performed by all positions
in this class. '
Audits and processes requests b teachers, para-professionals, and other School
District employees, for salary d�ustments in accordance with labor agreement
provisions.
Provides a full range of cleric 1 and administrative support functions to
oversee and insure the recerti cation, licensure or relicensure of teachers
pursuant to State Department o Education rules and regulations.
Develops and implements a syste atic record of employee training; receives,
reviews, and authorizes tuitio reimbursement in accordance with existing
policies.
Develops and maintains personne records systems; independently researches and
responds orally or in writing t inquiries from applicants, School District
employees, and supervisors; pro ides information on School District and Civil
Service policies, procedures a benefits.
Conducts special studies and pr �ects as assigned by an Assistant Personnel
Director.
Researches and compiles reports so that equal employment opportunity ob�ectives
can be met; advises appointing uthorities in techniques of determining the
under utilization of protected lasses and methods of affirmative action.
Locates and conveys informatio requested by School District administrators
regarding any phase of the Scho 1 District's personnel management program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of Schoo District and Civil Service policies and

personnel administration.

with other staff, departmental ersonnel and general public.

procedures.
Working ability to organize ide s, conceptualize problems, and categorize
relevant data for incorporation into narrative reports.
Working ability to assist appoi ting authorities in the technical aspects of
personnel management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Personnel A inistration, Industrial Relations, Business
Administration, Public Administ ation; or a certificate in Personnel
Administration or Industrial Re ations; AND two years of experience as a
Personnel Technician or equival nt.
