RESOLVED, that the classification of Lead Video Production Specialist
be paid at the rate set forth in G de 13, Section ID3, Professi:onal
Employees Non-Supervisory Standard anges of the Salary Plan and Rates of
Compensation; and be it
FURTIiER RESOLVED, that this re olution shall take effect and be in '
force on the first pay period after the passage, approval, and publication

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
General Statement of Duties: Perfo s responsible professional
work planning, developing, and over eeing text and video applications for
City units and the municipal cable hannel.
Supervision Received: Works under he general supervision of a
unit or division head.
Supervision Exercised; May exercis close supervision over lower
level production staff and interns.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED
The listed examples may not include all he duties performed by all positions
in this class.
Develops and implements public info ation policies and procedures related
to municipal channel in conjunction ith department or division managers.
Plans and organizes video and text plications in conjunction with
department staff.
Coordinates City video and text proj cts and City use of the municipal
cable channel.
Develops video training curriculum a d oversees implementation of video
training for City staff.
Develops strategies for evaluating v deo projects, conducts evaluation
projects.
Contributes to the development of an ual budgets and work plans for the
Office of Cable Communications or Ci y Council Investigation and Research
Center.
Recommends video equipment purchases
Leads in the development and impleme tation of video and test projects for
the cable institutional network.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of video producti techniques and strategies.
Considerable ability to manage comple media pro�ects.

Establishes the compensation rat for the new classification of "Lead Video
Production Specialist."
COST BENEFIT BUDGETARY AND PER ONNEL IMPACTS ANTICIPATED:
This position was previously mis lassified and improperly compensated as an
Economic Planner in Grade 20. e proposed classification is herein allocated
to Grade 13.
