I am writin� to you and asking ,you NOT to ratifg the ass ssment, but to dismiss it. Please consider the following two points i -I o�rn the duplex located a 203 E. 3aker. I was NOT given notice that the city was coming i to make a clean-un. I have one other duplex and I had a situati n in which very rsrecise instructions were given as to clean-up. If I would have been notified the s�:tuation would have been ken care of. I contacted I?arold Robins�n the inspector inv ved. He mentioned that his files showed that in the past, a nrobler�.s which had arisen had been resolved. I was told trat he city txied calling the �.enants the day before the clean-u�, bu they could not be reached. The tenants are always rome. -ihis is the story as tolc t ne by the tenants. A city crew arrived before 9;00 a.m. on Qctober 20, 1987 and started loading clothing into a truck. The tenants alled the golice asking for assistance as the city crew was takin�; clothing ri�ht oif af tables that they haa set un for their gara�e sale. I understand the police spent r.:ost of the morning there as the city crew did not leave until af ter noon. ??hy cid the city crew disma tle this garage sale? I even have a copy of the news�aper ad bill pr ving this to be a garage sale.
