SOLVED, that the rate of pay for the title of Right-of-Way Engineer
be set at the rate set forth in Gra e 21, Section ID4, of the Professional
Superv sory Employees Standard Rang s in the Salary Plan and Rates of

In esponse to a request from th Director of Valuations and
Ass ssments, a study was conduct d of the position in Valuations and
Ass ssments currently held under the title of Civil Engineer II. It
was found the position was impro erly classified under that title and
wou d be more accurately defined under the new title Right-of-Way
Eng neer. This resolution estab ishes the rate of pay for the new
cla sification of Right-of-Way E gineer at Grade 21, Section ID4, of
the Professional Supervisory Sta dard Ranges in the Salary Plan and
Rat s of Compensation.
COS BENEFIT BUDGETARY AND PER ONNEL IMPACTS ANTICIPATED:
Thi is a single-incumbent title Annual base salary is $34,216.
The difference between the incun ent's current salary and his salary
und r the new title is $4862. is will represent a 12� increase in
ann al salary for the incumbent. It should be noted that this
div sion eliminated the position of Valuation and Assessment
Eng neer in June of 1987. The a nual salary for that position was
$53 881.38. The duties and resp nsibilities of this position were
div ded among the studied positi n; Real Estate, Risk and Facilities
Man ger; and the Supervisor of A sessments positions. The
eli ination of the Valuation and Assessment Engineer and the
del gation of duties will impact the other two positions to some
ext nt. However, even if pay in reases occur for all three
pos tions, the total savines fro the consolidation and
reo ganization of positions will total, at minimum, $40,000 annually.
