Summary of E gineering Recommendations
Report Pre areid - December 1, 1987 p
Public H aring - March 1, 1988
Imp ve EVERETT COURT from T inter Avenue to Energy Park Drive (City
Proj ct P-8033, V-8033) by grading nd paving, constructing curb and
gutt r, new catch basins, new drive ays, a new storm sewer system,
lant rn style street lighting system, ewr and water service connections,
and oing all other work necessary nd incidental to said improvement.
Impr ve TAINTER AVENUE (alley a jacent to tracks) from Everett Court to
450 et west of Everett Court (City roject P-8033) by constructing a
bitu inous surface. '
Rec nstruct the RAYMOND AVENU BRIDGE over the railroad tracks (City
Proj t B-1051 B).
Impr ve and change alignment of E ERGY PARK DRIVE from Raymond Avenue
to 65 feet west (City Project P-1003 by grading and paving, constructing
curb nd gutter, new catch basins, n w driveways, and a new storm sewer
syste .
Instal new street lighting on ENERG P4RK DRIVE from 1050 feet east of
Ray ond Avenue to 650 feet west of Raymond Avenue (City Project
V-07 2).
Instal a new storm sewer system in AYMOND AVENUE from Hampden
Aven e to Energy Park Drive and in xisting ENERGY PARK DRIVE from
Raym nd Avenue to 650 feet west of Raymond Avenue (City Project
S-801 ).
Install a new signal system at the inte section of ENERGY PARK DRIVE in
RAY OND AVENUE (City Project T- 207).
XI N N I I N
Evere Court is an oiled street with a ornbined sewer. The oiled roadway
is abo t 40 feet wide and the right-of- ay width is 66 feet. Property
owner on Everett Court have poor w ter pressure. Tainter Avenue that
runs est from the southern end of E ere!tt Court is dirt.

Th bridge was constructed in 189 to a 25 foot width with a sharp curve
at t e north end of the bridge. The is ioad restrictions on the bridge.
Ray ond Avenue from Hampden A enue to Energy Park Drive has a combined
sew r.
Ene gy Park Drive intersects Raym nd Avenue at two locations about 300
feet part. This requires drivers to ake two turns to go east or west.
This double intersection generates dditional congestion on Raymond
Ave ue, and there is no signal syst m.
Stre t lighting on Energy Park Drive from 1050 feet east of Raymond to
650 eet west of Raymond is on wo poles.
We ropose to construct a new brid e 44 feet wide with two 8 foot walks.
The ew bridge will be aligned such hat the sharp curve at the north end
of th bridge wiN be eliminated. A re aining wall will be needed at one
appr ach.
A sto m sewer system will be install in Raymond Avenue from Hampden
Aven e to Energy Park Drive and in xisting Energy Park Drive from
Ray ond Avenue to 650 feet west o Raymond Avenue.
Ener y Park Drive west of Raymond venue will be realigned to match up
with nergy Park Drive east of Raym nd Avenue. This segment which goes
from aymond Avenue to 650 feet w st of Raymond Avenue will be
const ucted 52 feet wide with no pa 'ng allowed on either side. The new
road ay will have concrete curb and utters, new concrete driveways; new
catch basins, and a new storm sewer system.
We p opose to construct a new road ay in Everett Court with concrete
curb nd gutters because of storm se er separation. The new roadway
will b constructed 36 feet wide. Par ing will be allowed on both sides.
New riveways, outwalks, catch basi s, lantern style street lighting
syste , and storm sewer system will e installed. New water services
will b installed and assessed to the roprty owners.
We pr pose to improve Tainter Aven e from Everett Court to 450 feet west
by pla ing a bituminous surface 18 fe t wide with no curb and gutter. This
work ill not be assessed.
2
  --
We ropose to construct a new "ben staw" street lighting system from
105 feet east of Raymond Avenue o 650 feet west of Raymond Avenue.
We ropose to construct a new sign I srstem at the intersection of Energy
Park Drive and Raymond Avenue.
TIV N FI
The ew bituminous surfacing on Ta nter Avenue and the new roadway for
Ever tt Court will improve drainage nd the riding surface. Maintenance
cost will be reduced and the appea ane of the street and Tainter Avenue
wilt b greatly improved. The constr ction of the storm sewer in Everett
Cou will eliminate storm water from enering the sanitary sewer. The
new ater services should improve ater pressure.
The ew bridge and revised alignme t will improve the safety as well as
remo ing the load restrictions. The ew'bridge can be built next to the
existi g one so that Raymond Avenu could remain open to traffic.
Main nance costs will also be reduc d.'
The ew Energy Park Drive/Raymon Avenue intersection will operate much
bette by reducing turning movement and congestion on Raymond Avenue.
The xisting Energy Park Drive can r main operational while the new
road ay is being built.
The n w street lighting system and si nal system will enhance the
appe rance of the area as weil as im roving the safety and operation of the
inters ction.
The n w storm sewr system in Ray ond Avenue, Everett Court and Energy
Park rive will complete the storm se er separation in the area.
Taint r Avenue and Everett Court will be closed to thru traffic during
const uction but local and emergency access will be maintained at all
times. Raymond Avenue will be clos d for a short time while the new
bridg approaches are being connect d o the roadway. Energy Park Drive
will b closed for a short time while th connections are being made at
both nds. Dust and noise in the are wil be higher than normal.
