WHE EAS, the City of Saint Paul does not discriminate based upon disability
and is c mmitted to making all city resources available to the physically handi-
capped; nd
WHE EAS, the Riverview Public Lib�rary at 1 East George Street does not
currentl have any handicap accessible entrances; and
WIiE EAS, the West Side Citizens O�ganization has made such renovation a part
of one o their top three priorities in the Better Neighborhoods inititative, thus
establis ing the fact that physical accessibility is of primary concern to West
a.;
Side Citi ens; now, therefore, be it
RESO VED, that the Director of Library Services explore both private and
public fu ding options with the West Side Committee with the goal of converting the
above lib ary to a structure that would enable all residents to use and enjoy it.
