RESOLVED, that the classifica ion of Arts Development Manager should
be established in the classificati n plan; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the ra e of pay for the title of Arts
D elopment Manager be set at the ate set forth in Grade 16, Section ID3
i the Salary Plan and Rates of Co pensation; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that this r solution shall take effect and be in
f rce on the first pay period afte the passage, approval, and publication
o this resolution.

po icy for developing the arts as viable economic sector in Saint Paul;

Su ervision Re e'ved: Works under the general technical and
a inistrative supervision of the eputy Director for powntown Development.

su ervision over technical and cle ical workers.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED

P1 ns and administers City arts de elopment projects and budgets.
Re earches and advises staff on th development of arts activities.
Fo ulates general policy for the rts development for economic benefit to .
th City.
De elops grant applications to sup ort arts activities.
Se es as an ombudsperson for arti ts and arts organizations in the City of
Sa nt Paul.
Pr vides technical assistance to a tist groups and organizations attempting
to locate or expand in the City of Saint Paul, including advice on space as
we 1 as assistance with business o erations. .
A ises arts proprietors and organ zations about the availability of
pr vate and public financing. Assi ts with the development and
a inistration of financial progr s.
Ad ocates and coordinates the inte ration of public and special urban
de ign activities into public impr vements and other City development
pr �ects.
Co rdinates and manages sponsorshi or co-sponsorship of arts programs to
ge erate public interest in ma�or edevelopment pro�ects.
Di ects efforts to market the City through the arts, locally, nationally,
an internationally, in order to e courage future economic investment.
