99-129ORIGINAL Presented By Re£erred To Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has completed a Draft Environmental Impact Statement 2(DEfS) on Ayd Mill Road; and 3 4 WHEREAS, a citizens task force, established by the Saint Paul Planning Commission, has 5 provided input and review of this document and recommended the document to be released for 6 public review and comment at their December 15, i998 meeting; and 7 8 WHEREAS, on January 8, 1999, the Saint Paul Planning Commission has recommended that 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 the City Council release the "Ayd Mill Road Draft Environmental Impact Statement" for public review and comment and set a public hearing, at it's earliest convenience and in accordance with Minnesota Environmental Quality Board Rules, to be jointly sponsored with the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Draft Environmental Impact Statement , dated December 1998, has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration; and WHEREAS, in accordance with state and federal regulations require that the City make the Draft Environmental Impact Statement available for for public and agency review and comment for a period of forty-five (45) days minimum; and, 22 THEREFORE BE RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the releases of the 23 Ayd Mill Road Draft Environmental Impact Statement for public review and comment and sets a 24 public hearing for Wednesday, March 24, 1999, to be jointly sponsored with the Planning 25 Commission, for the purpose of presenting information and taking public comment.
