EREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul, as an outgrowth
of its s rategic planning process, revis d its legislative procedures for
a period of six months to expire on Jan ry 3, 1988, and;
EREAS, the Elder Council, es blished in 1983, has effectivelq
performe its duties,
EREAS, the Elder Council has p ovided research assistance critically
required for many City issues, now, ther fore, be it
ESOLVED, that the Council of Sa nt Paul shall continue to affirm
the need for the Eldex Council, and with this affirmatian, the Council of
Saint Pa 1 shall retain the budget for s ffing of the Elder Council; and
URTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that Council of Saint Paul formally
recogniz d the contributions made bq the Elder Council to the City of Saint
Paul; a
INALLY, BE IT RESOLVED, that th Council of Saint Paul expresses
i ts app cia tion to ttie Elder Council.
