WAEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Division of Parks and Recreation
received a grant from the Legislative Commission on Minnesota
Resources for $200,000, and
WHEREAS, the grant period was from July 1, 1997 through June 30,
1999, and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul entered into contract with the
Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for $100,000, and
WHEREAS, the broad goal of the grant was to increase
environmental education efforts in Saint Paul and Minneapolis
parks, and
11 WfIEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter
12 of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available
13 for appropriation, £unds of $137,500 in excess of those estimated
14 in the 1999 budget, and
15 WHEREAS, Council File 27720, adopted October 1, 1981 did
16 establish certain Special fund policies, and
17 WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following changes to the 1999
18 budget:
