RESOLVED, that the Salary P an and Rates of Compensation Resolution be
amended by striking out of Secti n IIB, where the title appears under the
heading "Special Employments", t e following:
House Custodian I
Starting $3.85 per hour
After 150 hours of emplo ent $3.90 per hour
After 520 hours of emplo ent $4.00 per hour
After 1040 hours of empl yment $4.10 per hour
After 1260 hours of empl yment $4.25 per hour
After 1560 hours of empl yment $4.50 per hour
After 2600 hours of empl yment $5.00 per hour

And substituting in lieu thereof the following:

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the alary Plan and Rates of Compensation
Resolution be amended in Section III (Special Allowances) , as follows:
K There shall be a premium pa ent of $6:39 $6.75 per hour to any
workers for time engaged/em loyed in the following activities:
1) Installing and removing ockey dasher boards and related equipment:
2) Assembling, disassemblin , loading and storing a basketball floor
or ice floor cover;
3) Operating mechanical equ pment such as a fork lift, electric
dollies, electric tracto s, and a Zambonie ice machine;
4) Opening or securing the uilding;
5) Removing snow or perform ng emergency custodial work during events.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect and be in
force effective December 30, 198 .

Dear Mr. Viscasillas:
The Saint Paul Civic Center is req esting an increase in the hourly
rate of pay for the House Custodia l's employed on a part-time basis
at the Civic Center.
The House Custodian I's are requir d to work evenings and week-ends, holidays,
as the schedule of events dictates therefore, we would like the hourly rate
of pay to be competitative to attr ct more responsible applicants.
We recommend the following hourly age for House Custodian I, effective
January 1, 1990:
Starting (hourly rates) $4.75
After 150 hours of employment 4.85
After 520 hours of employment 5.00
After 1040 hours of employmen 5.10
After 1260 hours of employmen 5.35
After 1560 hours of employmen 5.60
After 2600 hours of employmen 6.10
After 3120 hours of employmen 6.60
Also, we are requesting the premiu pay for performing various duties at
the Civic Center, i.e installing h ckey boards, basketball floor, insulated
floor, operating mechanical equipm nt, and removing snow, be raised
to $6.75 per hour, effective Janua y 1, 1990. �•�f� ,
