WHEREAS, Congregate Dining Pr grams throughout St. Paul demonstrate an
outstanding commitment to the well being of our seniors; and
WHEREAS, these nutritious noo meals help older persons remain healthy,
active, and independent; and
WHEREAS, Congregate Dining Pr grams provide valuable opportunities to seniors
and encourage self reliance, commu ity involvement and self confidence; and
WHEREAS, Congregate Dining Pr grams in Minnesota are commemorating 16 years
of nutrition services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE , that the City of St. Paul does hereby
proclaim that the week of October 0, 1989, is CONGREGATE DINING WEEK IN
ST. PAUL;
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, hat the St. Paul City Council thank and
congratulate all the organizations and individuals who have helped to make
this program a success.
