��f�EREAS, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has recently awarded
the return of an Urban Development A tion Grant to the City for reemployment services
to dislocated workers called the Amh ist Reemployment Action Program (ARAP) , and
WHEREAS, The Amhoist Reemployme t Action Program performance in providing job
placement services to dislocated Amh ist workers has surpassed original enrollment
goals, and
WHEREAS, An increased level of pending authority is needed, now, therefore, be it
WHEREAS, The mayor, pursuant to section 1007.01 of the city charter, does certify
that there are available for appropr ation revenues in excess of those estimated in
the 1989 budget, and
WHEREAS, The mayor recommends t e following changes to the 1989 budget:
