WHEREAS , Chapter 5 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code
provides for the sale or onation of surplus city materials
and supplies not of use to ther city departments and agencies ;
and
�°JaiEREAS , the district planning councils have a limited
status as agencies of the cit ; and
WHEREAS , the City Co cil in the interest of achieving
economies desires that the istrict planning councils be treated
as departments or agencies of the city for the purpose of re-
ceiving surplus city good , thus avoiding additional public
expenses by the district p anning councils in purchasing goods
which could be gotten free from the city; now, therefore , be
it
RESOLVED, that the City Council recommends to the Mayor
that city policy, as regar s surplus goods , treat the district
planning councils the same as city departments with all the
benefits attendant thereto.
