RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A STAR-PED PROGRAM FOR
NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECTS LOAN TO CIRCUS OF THE STAR, NON-PROFIT
WHEREAS, Circus of the Star, a non-profit corporation, has requested a$250,000 loan from the
STAR-PED Program for Neighborhood Projects fund for the construction of a circus-arts facility to
be located at 1200 Montreal Avenue; and
WHEREAS, this project will provide unique opportunities for youth development and enrichment;
and
WHEREAS, the project has been reviewed by staff of the Department of Planning and Economic
Development for consistency with the applicable lending criteria ; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Mayor, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul
does hereby approve a STAR-PED Program for Neighborhood Projects Loan for Circus of the Star
in the amount of $250,000 for the construction of a circus-arts facility to be located at 1200
Montreal Avenue; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Planning and Economic Development is hereby
authorized to execute the necessary documents in connection with the loan, and in such form as
acceptable to the City Attorney on behalf of the City.
