Grade and pave the alley in-DAWSON'S RE. OF BLK. 76 bounded by Chippewa,
Delaware, Winona and Cu ice. Also condemning and taking an easement in
the land necessary for sl pes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of
lateral support from subje t land or remainder thereof, occasioned by
excavations thereof or co struction of slopes in the grading and paving of
the above referenced alley
INITIATING ACTION
This improvement was init ated by a petition signed by 8 of the 11
assessable lots, represent ng 73% of the abutting property.
EXISTINGCONDITIONS
This alley was opened to width of 20 feet and the grading orders were
before the council in 1922 ut were rescinded. The existing grade is
moderate to steep and the e is no areas of standing water. The present dirt
surface has become quite ugh buts the alley does not have a history of
complaints.
PROPOSEDIMPROVEMENT
Grade and pave the alley ith bituminous material to a width of 16 feet.
SPECIALCONDITIONS
Because of the hilly terrain there will not be any drainage problems but
garages have been built on opposite sides of the alley with considerable
difference in elevation. It ill be difficult to design and construct the
alley to match both sides.
