WHEREAS , on May 31 989 , the Division of Public Health
for the City of Saint au , Minnesota, inspected the premises
at 1285 Sylvan and dete m'ned that a nuisance existed thereon
consisting of a Chevrol t and a Pontiac motor vehicle, both
of which bore no current ic nse plates ; and
WHEREAS , on June , 1989 said Division issued written
orders to Richard J . a Nicholas J . Bredemus , the owners of '
the premises , advising t em of the exact nature of the nuisance
and directing that the s t ation be corrected by June 21 , 1989 ; �
and
WHEREAS , Nicholas Bredemus filed an appeal of said
orders with the City Cler •o June 12, 1989; and
WHEREAS , the City � o ncil conducted a public hearing on
said appeal and upon o sideration affirmed the Division' s
order and determined tha t e nuisance is to be corrected within
one ( 1 ) week after the blication of this resolution; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the or ers of said Division directing the
abatement of nuisance at 1 85 Sylvan are hereby affirmed except
that one ( 1 ) week aft r the publication of this resolution
is given as extra time fo c mpletion; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, th t 'n the event the work is not completed
within the time provide , the City may proceed to abate the
nuisance with the cost ncurred therefrom collected in the
same manner as provided b 1 w.

A complaint regarding inoperable vehi le at 1285 Sylvan was filed with the Division of
Public Health. An inspection of 1285 Sy an on Ma.y 31, 1989 determined two inoperable
vehicles were on the premises. The o e filed an Appeal of the Division of Public Health
order. The City Council held a publi h ring and affirmed the Division of Public Health
order but granted the owner one week te publication of the resolution to correct
the nuisance.
ADVANTAOES IF APPROVED:
The inoperable vehicles will become op ra le and currently licensed or the City will
remove them to the Police Department I po nd Lot and assess the costs for removal against
the property taxes.
DISADVANTA(�ES IF APPROVEO:
The City may have to spend staff time em ving the vehicles.

implementing action of he City Council concerning appeal of
a Summary Abatement Ord r or property located at 1285 Sylvan.

matter by August 18 . W 'rk oad, vacation schedules or other
problems may result in hi deadline not being met, but if
