1 WHERF.AS, the Minnesota Department of �ansportation and Ramsey County have entered into a Memorandum of
2 Understanding which provides for the consolidation of roadway jurisdictions in Ramsey County; and
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding includes a consolidation plan, prepazed in conjunction with
municipalities of Ramsey County, and
WHEREAS, the consolidation plan provides for the turnback of State Trunk Highway 952A (Robert Street, then
University Avenue) from Interstate 94 to Eiighway 49 (Rice Street) to Ramsey county; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County intends to accept the jurisdictional change on or about January l, 2000 and will place
the 0.621 mile segment on the County State Aid Highway system, so
10 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul concurs with the establishment
11 and designation of the turnback segment of State Trunk Highway 952A (Robert Street, then University Avenue) from
12 Interstate 94 to I�ighway 49 (Rice Street) as a County State Aid Highway (CSAH) in Ramsey County under provisions
of Minnesota Law, subject to the approval of �he Commissioner of �ansportation of the State of Minnesota, and
13
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies
15 of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota, and upon his approval of the
designation of the said roadway or portion thereof, that the same be constructed, improved, and maintained as a
16 County State Aid Highway in Ramsey County, to be numbered and known as County State Aid Highway 34.

staff have been involved in the process and agee with the proposed turnback. This resolution is the City's formal concurrence with this
turnback and renumbering to County State Highway 34.
