The funds are needed immediately for Pu li Improvements 'to the Crawford-Livingston
Theatre. The Theatre improvements rate h ghly in the 1990-91 CIB process and the CIB
Committee recommends funding now to fre f nds for other priorities.
ADVANTAOE8 IF APPHOVED:
1. Funding now gains efficiency of appr xi atley 257 in project cost by installing improve-
ments simultaneous to other theatre impr ve ents in spring/summer 1989.
2. Funding now frees 1990-91 CIB funds or other priorities.
3. Supports Greater North American hist ry Theatre who serve the City of Saint Paul:
attract over ,20,000 people annually to a He d perforr�ances, produce works by and about
Saint Paul residents, travel extensively na ionally and make available free blocks of
tickets to Saint Paul senior residences, sh lters and halfway houses. Over 1, 500 tickets
(300+/play) will be distributed in 1988- 9 community rou s at a contributed value of over
