WHEREAS, the City Council b r olution (C.F. 88-3 4) asked the
District I Community Council to ev lop recommendation for a long-range
plan for the Highwood area; and
WHEREAS, the District I Hig wo d Task Force Repor now has been
completed and submitted to the C ty Council in respons to that request; and
WHEREAS, the report has bee r viewed by the City Council's Housing
and Economic Development Commit e, which recommended hat the report be
reviewed by the Planning Commis io in order to consid r possible amendments
to the City Comprehensive Plan, an that a 40-acre st y be conducted under
Planning Commission auspices to id ntify possible zon' g code amendments;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the C ty Council refers the ighwood Task Force
Report to the Planning Commissi n, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, t t he Planning Commis ion is requested to
review the report within 60 da s, to conduct a 40-acr study within an
additional 30 days, and to rep rt ack to the City C ncil after 90 days; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, t at the City Council t nks the Highwood Task
Force for its efforts and comm nd the task force on he quality of its
report.
