WHEREAS, It is mutually desired a d greed to approve Supplement No.
1 to the Agency Agreement No. 641 4, which was executed between the
City of St. Paul and the Minnesot D partment of Transportation in October,
1987 ; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provided or Federal participation in certain
force account work performed by t e ity under the final phase of the
City' s Computerized Traffic Contr 1 ignal s�stem Project; and
WHEREAS, said agreement further p ov ' ded that costs exceeding $105,446. 25
would require a supplement to the Ag eement; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined t at due to intersection revisions,
. the anticipated costs will exceed th aforesaid amount and will be eli�ible
for Federal participation.
RESOLVED, that the proper City of ic ' als be authorized and directed
to execute, on behalf of the City of St. Paul, the Supplement to Agency
Agreement No. 64174, explaining t e ederal participation for the City' s
Computerized Traffic Control Sign 1 ystem Project. -

It has been determined that due to pl n and specification revisions to the
CBD Computerized Traffic Signal Pr je t, additional Federal funding will
be required. This additional Fede al funding requires a supplement to the
Agency Agreement which was passed y he City Council in October, 1987.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS UALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1 . The total estimated materials to be furnished by the City for this project
are as followa:

2. Funds encumbrance under this gr ement is for internal purposes to enable
Mn/DOT to make anticipated re mb rsements to the City. Eligibility of
work and extent of federal pa ti ipation is determined from Federal
Highway Adminis[ration approv ls and regulations.
3. Except as may be modified by hi supplement, the terms of the initial
Force Account Agency agreemen b tween the Commissioner and the city
shall remain in effect.
4. Before this supplemental agre e t shall become binding and •effective, it
shall be approved by resoluti n f the City Council and shall also receive
the approval of such state of ic rs as the law may provide in addition to
the Commissioner of Transport ti .
