WHEREAS, Congress has recen ly passed a new employment program called
Job Training Partnership Act Titl I I, Economic Dislocation and Worker
Adjustment Assistance Act (EDWAAA) , d
WHEREAS, the State of Minne t has designated the City of Saint Paul
grant recipient for EDWAAA in the ai t Paul area, and
WHEREAS, the EDWAAA program il provide employment and training
services to Saint Paul's dislocate w rkers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that upon recommen at on of the Mayor, the Council of the City
of Saint Paul does hereby approve he City's participation in the EDWAAA
program for Saint Paul, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the p op r City of Saint Paul officials are
hereby authorized and directed to xe ute the contract between the Minnesota
Department of Jobs and Training an t e City of Saint Paul; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the 1 88 Special Funds budget be amended as
identified below:
