WHEREAS, the city of Saint Paul wi hes to recognize those of its citizens
who show dedication to fostering an tm sphere of civic pride in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Marlene Anderson, as na ing Director of the Saint Paul Civic
Center has dedicated her professiona e forts to attracting local, national, and
international events to the city of ai t Paul; and
WHEREAS, Marlene Anderson has e ec ted her duties as Managing Director with
consistent excellence and exemplary ro essionalism; and
WHEREAS, her actions have broug t uch favorable attention to the city of
Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Ma.rlene Anderson has s o herself to be a person who possesses the
character, determination, and positi e ttitude which we feel is commendable among
the citizens of our city; and
WHEREAS, Marlene Anderson is re ir' g from the position of Managing Director
of the Saint Paul Civic Center, a po it'on which she has held since 1982, having
given dedicated service to the Saint Pa 1 Civic Center since 1971; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul C'ty Council, on behalf of the citizens of Saint
Paul, wishes to honor Marlene Anders r her outstanding personal achievements
and contributions to the civic life f int Paul and does hereby proclaim Wednesday,
April 5, 1989 as
"MARLEN ERSON DAY"
