RESOLVED, that upon t e petition of Ruth Thompson, per
Finance Department File o 25-1988, all those parts of the
alleys in Block 5 , Merri 1 Division of Rice Street Villas ,
bounded by Rice Street , Whee ock Parkway, Iowa Avenue and Park
Street , hereinafter describ d be and the same are hereby vacated
and discontinued as public r perty.
The vacated area is desc ibed as follows :
All that part o he north-south alley lying
southerly of Wheelo k Parkway as opened and all
that part of the as -west alley lying westerly of
the southerly exte si n of the easterly line of Lot
7, all in Block 5 , e rills Division of Rice Street
Villas
This vacation shall b subject to the following
conditions :
1 . That the vacati n be subject to all the terms and
conditions of Ch pt r 130, codified March l, 1981 , of
the Saint Paul Le is ative Code , ad amended .
2. That the petition r, her heirs and assigns shall pag the
City $8, 482 as co pe sation for this vacation which is
due and payable it in 60 days of the publication date
of this resolutio .
3 . That the petiti ne , her heirs , and assigns shall
dedicate to the it of Saint Paul , within 60 days of
the publication �da e of this resolution, a permanent
easement for righ -o -way purposes in a form and manner
to be approved b t e City Attorney and subject to the
approval of the D partment of Public Works . This
easement shall be de crib
