WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey an t e City of Saint Paul have committed
themselves to the restoration of th City Hall and Courthouse, and
WHEREAS, the Council Chambers sh ul be the centerpiece of this restoration
effort, and
WHEREAS, the chairs provided for th Commissioners and Councilmembers were
specifically selected by the ori in 1 architect to complement the design of
the Chambers, and
WHEREAS, these chairs have falle t such a state of disrepair as to provide
extreme discomfort, if not dange , o the occupants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ha the City Council requests that the County
of Ramsey take immediate steps t r store the chairs in the Council Chambers
to their original appearance an co dition.
