This easement was discussed at the February 22nd ub ic Works Committee meeting. This letter addresses the issues that were discu �se at that meeting. The proposed easement for storm sewe c nstruction goes by the front of the Drake Marble building in the vac te right-of-way of Old Plato Avenue. This area contains the old brick roadwaq ro when Old Plato was in use. Mr. Denton White from Drake Marble C . irst indicated that he wanted the old brick re_stored to its original con it on after the storm sewer is constructed. However� Peter White proposed that t e City would save the existing brick� stockpile the brick for them� re to e the surface with gravel, and pay Drake Marble to reinstall the brick later. M . Denton agreed with that. As a result, the specifications for he Starkey/Plato construction have been modified so that the brick will b salvaged and stockpiled on Drake Marble property. The surface will be resto ed with aggregate. In addition, the Water Utility will el cate a water line this Spring in the same area to make room for the to sewer construction. This area will be temporarily restored with bituminous I believe we can address the c nc rns of Drake Marble through this construction and provide adequate ac ess to their property throughout.
