WHEREAS, the Minnesota Automated Fin�erprint Identification
Network (MAFIN) has served as an important law enforcement
tool for the S int Paul Police Department; and
WHEREAS, this ystem needs to be updated and improved; and
WHEREAS, the M�nnesota Department of Public Safety has
requested $3 .O million for a new MAFIN system as part of its
biennial legisljative funding request,
NOW, THERFORE �E IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul
support the Mir�nesota Department of Public Safety request and
urge the Minne ota Legislature to appropriate $3 .0 million for
the purchase o a new MAFIN system durin� the 1989 session.
