Voting In the Matter of

Improve Maryland Avenue between Interstate 35E and Payne Avenue
5 & 6 and Jessie Stree from 200 feet south of Maryland Avenue to 100
feet north of Maryland Avenue by constructing a bituminous
overlay on Maryl nd Avenue from Interstate 35E to 200 feet west
of Jessie Street and from 200 feet east of Jessie Street to Payne
Avenue , and by paving a new roadway , placing concrete curb and
gutter reconstru ting driveways where necessary, reconstructing a
portion of the ighting system, grading and sodding boulevards
and reconstructi g sidewalks on Maryland Avenue between 200 feet
west and 200 fee east of Jessie Street and on Jessie Street from
200 feet south t 100 feet north of Maryland Avenue and doing all
work necessary a d incidental to said improvements.
The Council of th City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and
having considered said re ort,hereby resolves:
1. That the said re ort and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof
is$ 476 800 00 , financed by 1988 County Aid $100,000.00 and 1989 County Aid
$376,800.00.
2. That a public he ring be had on said improvement on the 21st day of M�rch, 1989 ,at
nine II�o'clock a m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint P�ul.
3. That notice of id public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter,stating the
time and place f hearing,the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
