WHEREAS, a copy of the classification resolution together with the list of said lands has been submitted
for approval of the classification and sale of these lands in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section
282.01, Sub. 1;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the tax forfeited parcels on said classification list shall be sold
in accordance with Minnesota Statute Section 282.01, Sub. 1, except those parcels as listed in this
resolution which shall be withheld from public sale for those departments of the City of Saint Paul as
indicated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to file a certified copy of
this resoluuon in the office of the Land Commissioner, Ramsey County, Minnesota.

Enclosed is a list of properties located in your municipality, which forfeited to the State
of Minnesota on August 17, 1998, for non-payment of real estate taxes. Pursuant to
statute, these properties have been reviewed by Ramsey County to determine their
c4assification as either conservation or non-conservation lands.
Minnesota Statute 282.01, Subd. 1, requires the county to notify each city in which such
properties are located of both the forFeitures and classification. This letter and list serves
as that notice of forfeiture and a notice that the fands have been classified by Ramsey
County as non-conservation.
The Statute further provides that each city has 90 days from the date of this notice to
approve the classification, to approve the parcel(s) for public auction, to request a
conveyance of land(s) to your city for public use or to request that the property(s) be
withheld from public sale for a period not to exceed one year.
If you request that any parcel(s) be conveyed to your municipality for a public purpose
the above statutory timeline must be strictly observed. Within 90 days of this notice of
classification and availability of newly forFeited properties, the government unit must
submit an application for a public use deed. The application for a use deed is not
complete and timely if it is not accompanied by a certified resolution of the governing
body stating the public purpose for which the property wili be used.
Within 90 days of this notice the government body, if it wishes to withhold a property
from sale for a one-year period, must submit a written request. The request to withhold
property(s) from sale must be in writing and accompanied by a certified resolution of the
governing body stating the request for the specific property. If no further application is
received within the one-year hold period, the property will become available for public
sale. A governmental body may always acquire a property at its appraised value
anytime prior to a repurchase or sale.

Enclosed is a list of properties located in your municipality, which forfeited to the State
of Minnesota on August 17, 1998, for non-payment of real estate taxes. Pursuant to
statute, these properties have been reviewed by Ramsey County to determine their
c4assification as either conservation or non-conservation lands.
Minnesota Statute 282.01, Subd. 1, requires the county to notify each city in which such
properties are located of both the forFeitures and classification. This letter and list serves
as that notice of forfeiture and a notice that the fands have been classified by Ramsey
County as non-conservation.
The Statute further provides that each city has 90 days from the date of this notice to
approve the classification, to approve the parcel(s) for public auction, to request a
conveyance of land(s) to your city for public use or to request that the property(s) be
withheld from public sale for a period not to exceed one year.
If you request that any parcel(s) be conveyed to your municipality for a public purpose
the above statutory timeline must be strictly observed. Within 90 days of this notice of
classification and availability of newly forFeited properties, the government unit must
submit an application for a public use deed. The application for a use deed is not
complete and timely if it is not accompanied by a certified resolution of the governing
body stating the public purpose for which the property wili be used.
Within 90 days of this notice the government body, if it wishes to withhold a property
from sale for a one-year period, must submit a written request. The request to withhold
property(s) from sale must be in writing and accompanied by a certified resolution of the
governing body stating the request for the specific property. If no further application is
received within the one-year hold period, the property will become available for public
sale. A governmental body may always acquire a property at its appraised value
anytime prior to a repurchase or sale.

Enclosed is a list of properties located in your municipality, which forfeited to the State
of Minnesota on August 17, 1998, for non-payment of real estate taxes. Pursuant to
statute, these properties have been reviewed by Ramsey County to determine their
c4assification as either conservation or non-conservation lands.
Minnesota Statute 282.01, Subd. 1, requires the county to notify each city in which such
properties are located of both the forFeitures and classification. This letter and list serves
as that notice of forfeiture and a notice that the fands have been classified by Ramsey
County as non-conservation.
The Statute further provides that each city has 90 days from the date of this notice to
approve the classification, to approve the parcel(s) for public auction, to request a
conveyance of land(s) to your city for public use or to request that the property(s) be
withheld from public sale for a period not to exceed one year.
If you request that any parcel(s) be conveyed to your municipality for a public purpose
the above statutory timeline must be strictly observed. Within 90 days of this notice of
classification and availability of newly forFeited properties, the government unit must
submit an application for a public use deed. The application for a use deed is not
complete and timely if it is not accompanied by a certified resolution of the governing
body stating the public purpose for which the property wili be used.
Within 90 days of this notice the government body, if it wishes to withhold a property
from sale for a one-year period, must submit a written request. The request to withhold
property(s) from sale must be in writing and accompanied by a certified resolution of the
governing body stating the request for the specific property. If no further application is
received within the one-year hold period, the property will become available for public
sale. A governmental body may always acquire a property at its appraised value
anytime prior to a repurchase or sale.
