Also, condemning slopes. EXISTING CON[ITIONS This is a dirt stret that has recently had cold asphaltic patch mix placed to reduce the maintenance anc erosion problems. Two of the three existing homes face Lexington Parkway and thisi improvement would abut the long side of their lots. There is only one remaining undevloped lot. The only existing home that faces this proposal has a long private sewer co nection to Lexington Parkway. This connection is considered inadequate to ac ommodate an additional home. Also, there is an existing temporary water main in Pal ce Avenue and this could accommodate another home. INITIATING ACTI(N This project was iritiated by a petition signed by one of the four abutting property owners. The petitioner wa originally inquiring about the cost to construct a sanitary sewer connection but was informed that she would not be able to get a building permit on an unimproved streeti and that she would have to submit a petition for the improvements or request a waiver fom the improvements. She was also informed that no wavers had been granted to date (O e granted by the council since) She then submitted the petition . PR P ED IMP VEMENT Constructing concete curb and gutter, bituminous pavenent and sanitary sewer. Total length of this projet is approximately 200. INF RMATI NAL IMEETIN A meeting was hel on the evening o f January 19, 1988 at the Edgcumbe Recreation Center. The meetig was attended by the three homeowners on the project . The petitioner was unaqle to attend but represented by others . ALTERNATE II Do nothing. This w uld not be a major problem for the neighborhood or the Department of Public Works, but tte remaining unimproved lot could not be developed unless a waiver is granted by the courcil. i TIME SCHEDULE ', Construction on this project has been scheduled to start in the summer of 1989 and be completed in thirty cays.
