90-2027 0 R 4 G I NA L �'�� Council File # � '"��a� �.___� Green Sheet ,� lp���� RES�JLUTION C TY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By Referred To Committee: Date 1 2 3 A RESOLUTIbN CONCERNING THE RAMSEY COUNTY HOUSING COURT 4 , 5 6 WHEREAS, the State Legislature in 1989 passed legislation authorizing an experimental court in 7 Ramsey and Hennipen Counties which would focus on housing problems; and 8 9 WHEREAS, interested �ity officials and neighborhood groups monitoring the Housing Court's 10 activities have agreed th�t the Court is an effective means of dealing with housing disputes; and 11 . 12 WHEREAS, to further enhance the operation of the Housing Court, increased funding is needed 13 for prosecution of housi�g law violators and to pay for prosecution of housing law violators and to 14 pay for advocated of lov�-income tenants; 15 16 NOW, THEREFO�tE, SE IT RESOLVED, that the Legislature of the State of Minnesota is hereby 17 requested to reauthorize and appropriate funding for the Housing Court in Ramsey County.
