Council File #` � ' (Jo�� v! 1 ,.y- � Green Sheet ,� ���a� RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By 'V�� Referred To Committee: Date WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota established the Minnesota Center for Arts Education and after a lengthy search identified a site in Saint Paul to be the permanent home of the school ; and WHEREAS, the State then acquired title to three parcels of land in the Gity of Saint Paul ; and WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul agreed to transfer land to the State of Minnesota for use in siting the Minnesota Center for Arts Education; and WHEREAS, the presence of the school would be beneficial to the citizens of Saint Paul , bringing both economic and aesthetic improvern�ents; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, thSt the City of Saint Paul does hereby strongly support the permanent location of the Minnesota Center for Arts Education on the Saint Paul site acquired for that use; and be it FURTHER '�RESOLVED, that the City encourages the 1991 Minnesota State Legislsture to provide funding for site work and planning.
