as a par of its Middle Beltline Interceptor Extension project,
is const ucting sanitary sewers across existing City easements ,

WHE EAS , the MWCC has requested the City to subordinate its
existin e sements to the MWCC easements , copies of said
' document ar attached hereto and incorporated herein by
referenc , a d the Department of Public Works has agreed this is
acceptab e and desirable for the separation of Saint Paul ' s
sewer sy te ,
NOW THE EFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the prciper City of Saint
Paul off ' ci ls are authorized and directed to execute � consents
to subor inate easements to the MWCC as shown on the attached

The proposa of t e MWCC to extend and cross existing sewer e�sements is
acceptable a d d sirable for the separation of St. Paul's sewer system. Please
process the ece sary easements. ;
The City and the etropolitan Waste Control Commission have a,ntered into a Joint
Powers Agr�e me t to cooperatively construct storm sewers, sani�ary interceptor
sewers, local san tary sewers, and to pave certain streets. Construction will occur in
city streets a d i existing and proposed sewer easements. Much of the construction
will be done ear and crossing existing sewers and within existing easements.
Additional ea em nts will be needed, in effect extending the existing easements.
This project; as roceeded according to schedule. The City Councii authorized the
Joint Poweris Agr ement (CF 89-1216 dated July 22, 1989). A similar resolution was
passed by t� M CC Board (Resolution 89-171 dated June 20, 1989). An agreement
was reache�l a c nsultant hired to prepare the plans, and the plans are now
completed. ' he lans have been reviewed by the Department of'Public Works and
are found td e a eptable. The proposed easements conform to the needs of this
project.
