WHEREAS, Chapter 41 of the Sai.nt Paul Administrative Code requires that solicitation of
funds for City rela ed activities be reported.
WHEREAS, the Housin Information Office is notifying the Mayor and City Council of its
intention to submit a proposal, through the U.S. Department of Housin� and Urban Develop-
ment (HUD) in the a ount of $15,000.00 in order to continue FE�A mortgage foreclosure
counseling in 1990- 991.
WHEREAS, the Housin Information Office has received grants over the last seven years to
provide mortgage for closure counseling under the HUD Assignment Program.
WHEREAS, in-kind con ributions approximating $2,500.00 would be made available through
the current Housing nformation Office adopted budget to cover costs above the allowed
reimbursements under the HUD Assignment Program.
WHEREAS, this progra , if funded, would assist in keeping families in their homes and
reduce the number of homeless and vacant properties associated with mortgage foreclosures.
RESOLVED, that the H using Information Office requests the Saint Paul City Council to
approve the submissi n of this proposal.
