thereof having been given as prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objections and recommendations pertaining to said proposed improve-
ment and has fully considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order that the above-described improvement
be ma.de, and the proper City officers are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the proper City officers shall calculate
all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Charter.

WHEREAS, The Board of Water Commissioners has received a petition for the
installation of a public ti�ater main in Sylvan Street from Arlington :�venue to
appro:cimately 260 feet south of Arlington A�enue; and �
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Water Utility staff has re�liew•ed the proposed improvement
and recommends the installation of a water main and its appurtenances in S�l�an
Street from �rlingtcn Avenue to appro:timatelq 2b0 feet south of Arlington �venue;
and
WHEREAS� S5-1van Street from Arlington �venue to approtimatel�r 260 feet south of
Arlington avenue is graded within the limits permitted b}- Section 91. 15 of the
Saint Paul Le;islati��e Code; and
WHERF�IS, The total estimate� cost of the water main improvement including
construction, engineering, inspection and administration is $1i,535.00 and the
estimated rate pei- assessable foot determined b� the Real Estate Di��ision
Engineer is $?8.i5 and the estimated financing is �8,395.00 froro assessments and
�9,140.00 from Water t?tilit�� aid; and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul �dater Utilitt• staff recommends that the petitioners be
permitted to install �:ater service connections as part of the project and have
the cost uf same levied as a special assessn�ent; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of f�'ater Commissioners approves the installation of a
public water main in Sylvan Street fram arlington �.venue to appro:cimately 360
feet south of arlington A��enue and that water service connection ma}• be
installed, the cost of said service connections being the schedule charge in
effect at the time of application and that the installation and pa��ment for the
water main and water service connections, by means of a special assessment, be
deemed a local improvement and be orciered and roade in accordance hith the
provisions of Chapter 13 of the City Charter.
