BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ciry of Saint Paul enter into a sub-grant agreement with the Division of
Emergency Management in the Minnesota department of Public Safety for the program entitled
Hazard Mitigation Grant Program for Presidential disaster declaration FEMA 1187-DR-MN.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tom Eggum, City Engineer, is hereby authorized to execute
and sign such sub-grant agreements and any amendments hereto as are necessary to implement the
project on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.

The buildings were constructed in an area subject to flash flooding. They sustained
considerable structural damage during the July 1, 1997 rain storm. This resolution is a FEMA
requirement. -
VAN1'AGES IF APPROVF.D:
Demolition of the buildings would preclude future property damage and probable injury or loss
of life.
ISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
The project would be subject to receiving required funding from the Section 404 Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program and the Community Rehabilitation Fund Program.
ISADVANI'AGES IF NOT APPROVED:
The buildings would be subject to continued property damage and probable injury or loss of
life.
