The Classification and Compensation Division of Personnel and Labor Relations conducted a study and recommends changing the rate of pay for Aquatics Manager. The position has taken on added duties including developing and conducting training for Parks staff in the areas of CPR, First Aid, Water Safety, and supervision of additional staff. The Union also agrees to the proposed Grade of 3$ for this title. I trust the Union's agreement and with no objections from the Parks and Recreation Division, this title and grade could be moved quickly to the City Council for adoption. The Union would prefer that it be placed on the consent agenda for more prompt action. The longer the process takes the longer the incumbent works for less than appropriate wages.
