RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full to
the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the proper
City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the
Tort Liability Fund, 09070-0511, to: A. Marguerite Anderson the
sum of $2,000.00 in full settlement of her claim of damages
sustained on or about July 14, 1989, as more particularly set out
in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk's office on August
30, 1989.

Miss A. Marguerite Anderson seeks reimbursement from the City��t�f43��nt Paul
for damage done to her basement when water from the City sewer backed���up
into her basement on July 14 , 1989 . After investigation, it was found
that a restriction in the existing combined sewer, constructed as part of
the Cleveland/Portland storm sewer project , caused the backup. Our office
approves the settlement of Ms . Anderson ' s claim in the amou�t of $2 , 000 .00
