WHEREAS , the City of Saint Paul, acting through its right�
of--way engineer, has secured on agreement for that certain
property located at 616 Edmund Avenue, legally described as :
Lot 45, Smith ' s Subdivision of Block 12, Stinson' s
Division; and
WHEREAS , the property herein described is necessary for
public purposes in conjunction with the widening of Dale Street
between Sherburne and Van Buren Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the price at which the property may be purchased is
in the amount of $73 ,000, it being a fair and reasonable price
for the subject property according to the appraisal obtained by
the right�of--way engineer ; and
WHEREAS , the right--of--way engineer has recommended the
purchase of said property at the price stated above.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials
are hereby authorized and directed to pay Joseph W. Reiners,
owner of record, the sum of $73 ,000. The conditions of said sale
are contained in the Memorandum for Sale of Real Estate attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Said sum to be
charged to funding source C88�2Gfd03--0788--25019.
