This resolution is based upon the City Council 's vote on May 15, 1990 after hearing a neighborhood petition brought under Chapter 91 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code. In my review of the audio tape of the May 15, 1990 City Council proceedings, it was my impression that this matter was to be scheduled back before the Council in thirty days for the Council to consider ordering the demolition of the property. Because of the due process requirements in Chapter 45, the City Council would not be able to consider such an action that soon. Steve Roy has taken the appropriate steps to start the abatement process and is expediting the matter while following due process. Discussions with Kathy Zieman has clarified as to what should be included in this draft of the resolution. If I can be of further assistance on this, please contact me.
