"l NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul hereby requests that 3 Govemor Perpich and the planners of the Gorbachev-Maxwell Institute of Technology, consider 4 locating the Institute in Saint Paul and work with Saint Paul City officials to identify and explore 5 potential sites for the Institute within Saint Paul; and 6 7 BE IT FiJRTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby declares the City's interest in helping 8 raise a portion of the funds needed to create and operate the Institute if the Institute is located in 9 Saint Paul; and 10 11 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Council requests that the City Clerk send copies of 12 this resolution to Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, Governor Rudy Perpich, and Robert 13 Maxwell.
