98-84Council File � 30 - � � Ordinance $ 7 2 3 � 5 6 7 $ 9 1� 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 1$ 19 2� 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORIGlNAL Green Sheet # ����� Pseaented RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA �� Committee: Date Referred To wF3EREAS, the City council approved submission of a grant pre-application by the Office of Z.icense, Inspections and Environmental Protection to the Minnesota Board of covernment Innovation and Cooperation requesting funding for a cooperative planning project to study how taxicab industry regulatory functions are currently performed, what standards are used, and the effectiveness of the system of enforcement, and WHEREAS, the citiea of Saint Paul, Minneapolis, Saint Louis Park, the Metropolitan Airport Commission and the Metrapolitan Council have agreed to work together toward a common goal on the study project, and WHEREAS, the proposed qoals of the metro-area taxicab regulators identified above are conaistent with the Minnesota Department of Transportation's intent with regard to passenger service carriers, and WIiEREAS, the original pre-application scored 3 out of 76 applicants, now there£ore BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul is authorized to submit a final grant request to the State of Minnesota Board of Government innovation, and proper city officials are authorized to execute all application materials that are required.
