Voting In the Matter of operating costs of the Above Standard Street Lighting System
Ward for the Department of Revenue Area. Area is bounded by the Mississippi
2 River, Robert Street, Fillmore Avenue and State Street for the months
of January thru December, 1989 and January thru December, 1990.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and
having considered said report,hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof
is$ 17,850.00 , financed by Assessments.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 7th day of August. 1990 ,at
nine ��am., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter,stating the
time and place of hearing,the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.

Before construction began on the Revenue Building located at 177 E. Fillmore Avenue, Planning
and Economic Develo ment and the property owner requested installation of a special lighting
system. The cost o� operating this system, over and above a normal lighting system, is
passed on to the property owner as an annual service charge. This is the initial step for
this areas' lighting system.
ADVANTAOES IF APPROVED:
This is an annual budget procedure. The assessment policy originated to allow the direct
benefitting party to pay for the additional operating costs and provide for uniform
maintenance of the system.
