An Administrative Resolution establishing
the rate of pay for Summer Service Worker
in the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation
Resolution.
RESOLVED, that the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation Resolution
be amended by adding to Section IIB under the heading "Special Employments",
the following:
Summer Service Worker $7.50 per hour
and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED� that this resolution shall take effect and be in
force on the first pay period after the passage, approval, and publication
of this resolution.

Existing class spscificationa describa higher lavel custodian functions and are paid
higher rates because of this. There i� no class that describes this level of work an
pays a rate of pay consistent with the work level.
ADVANTA(iE8 IF APPROVED:
The Summer Service Glorker cla�s will be used for routine seasonal cleaning duties
performed during the summer break period. Individuals will be hired on a short-term
temporary basis: 67 work days or less. This title is needed because existing class
specifications describe higher level custodian functions.
DISMVMITAOES IF APPF�VED:
None. There is no cost to the City.
DISADVANTAOES IF NOT APPROVED:
The cost to the Board of Education for routine summer cleaning would be at a higher
rate and inconsistent with the level of responsibility.
