The book wi11 be written for a genera1 audience, with a level of research and documentation sufficient for academic use, and will further knowledge and appreciation of the history and architecture of our city. The first two chapters have already been written. This grant would be used to hire a consultant to comp1ete the third chapter by August 1990. In helping us discover our city's roots and identi�y through our historic buildings, the book wi11 also help us build a sense of communi�,y,� and, from that, stronger neighborhoods and a healthier city.
