description of the property (this requirement necessary only if no site plan

8) Attach a cover letter describing your plans to comply with the lighting and
painting requirements established in the St. Paul Legislative Code �f417
(attached) which became effective July 17, 1989.
All painting must be completed by Januarq 1, 1990, unless a written request
for a time extension is submitted to the License Inspector.
All lighting renovation must be completed by January 1, 1991, unless a written
request for a time extension is submitted to the License Inspector.

6. General description of security:
A. The security at First Parking is provided on a 24
hour basis, 365 days a year consisting of three
tours through the entire ramp and connecting areas
each 8 hour shift by uniformed security guards.
Pedestrian access to the building and ramp is
controlled during off-business hours by the security
personnel at a central station staffed by a
uniformed security guard located on the skyway
level.
B. Escort service is available on a 24 hour, year
around basis. During the regular work days it is
provided by uniformed ramp employees with picture
I.D. 's. During off business hours, uniformed
security guards provide escort service. The proper
signage describing escort service has been installed
to conform with the requirements of Chapter 417 of
the St. Paul legislative code. , _

C. Manual fire alarm pull stations which will also � ��=
function as distress signals are installed in ��'' `;' ���'�
locations in each of the four ramp levels. ' � � �-"�

D. Emergency exit stairwells are locked from the ins�e ; ~
to prohibit access to the parking levels from the ,,._ ��;-�

8. To date all requirements of Chapter 417 of the St. Paul
legislative code have been met in regard to painting
which was completed in October, 1989.
As for the lighting requirements, we are in the process
of doing lighting surveys, testing new fixtures, and
comparing different levels of illumination. Necessary
revisions to the lighting have been budgeted for and are
expected to be completed during the 1990 calendar year.
