98-808� t�RIG1 Al: � I /- rresencea Referred To Domestic Violence -Ending domestic abuse and sexual violence Council File # 9$_ gQ p Green Sheet # (� � � Committee Date 1 PROPOSED 1999 FLTNDING RECONIlVIENDATIONS FOR TIIE CIVIC ORGAIVIZATIONS 2 PARTNERSHII' PROGRAM (COPP) 3 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council believes that the programs funded through the Civic Organizations 4 Partnership Program (COPP) are of value to the citizens of Saint Paul; and 5 WHEREAS, limited General Fund monies and the uncertainty of continued Community Development Block Grant 6(CDBG) monies pose a significant chalienge to the continued funding ofthe COPP in 1999; and 7 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council is committed to not increasing the property taxes of Saint Paul citizens; 8 and 9 RESOLVED, that 1999 COPP be funded at the levei of $398,634. This accounts for a General Fund and CDBG 10 commitment of $158,634 and $240,000 respectively.
