PAYROLL SYSTEM TECHNICIAN
Initiating Problem. Issue OpportunitX:
The position described by this class was studied at the request of the Office
of Personnel and Labor Relations. This position was last studied during the
1984 Classification Study. At that time, this position was allocated to a
proposed Payroll Supervisor class. When all the payroll supervisor positions
were studied again during September of 1987 in order to establish the
proposed Payroll Supervisor class, the current position was identified as not
being appropriately classified with the rest of the Payroll Supervisor
positions; however, since the Office of Personnel and Labor Relations had
inadequate written information (i.e. a job analysis questionnaire) filled out
on this position, we were not able to determine the appropriate
classification. Thus, the Office of Personnel and Labor Relations requested
that the incumbent submit a Job Profile so that the position could be
studied.
Disadvantages if Approved:
There are costs associated with this resolution of approximately $4,511
annually.
